I continue to enjoy the images the iPhone 7’s sensor is capable of capturing in a) the right circumstances and b) when shooting RAW and editing to one’s liking. I’ve been frustrated with the output of the iOS JPEG engine and the lack of dynamic range the images had, typically shooting with a Fujifilm X-Pro2 and some really good glass. For me, the ability to capture DNG on the iPhone has legitimised it as a capable camera again, beyond something for basic snapshots.
