First proper outing with the new(-ish) bike yesterday. It was a good day to ride and I also used the opportunity to let Bijou get more comfortable in the trailer. It was a lot of fun and I came home happy and exhausted. The geometry of the new frame is spot-on. 📷🚴🏻‍♂️🐕

Started listening to Tiamat’s Wrath yesterday evening. It’s the eighth book of the Expanse and after the first couple of sentences I thought, “I’m home”. This is such an enjoyable series of books.

In my opinion, if you don’t consume Aditi Mittal’s comedy, you’re missing out.

There really, really, really needs to be a way to side-load media into the iOS music app. It’s so damn annoying that I have to fire up my Mac or PC to add something to my iPhone.

Today’s example of German expressions that don’t translate well literally into English:

German: “Das ist echt erste Sahne”

Literally: “This really is first cream.”

Idiomatically correct: “This really is the cream of the crop.”

I wonder if companies producing microphones have seen any uptick in sales thanks to ASMR youtubers.

In a clear sign of how much I forgot about building bicycles, I tried to fit my Rotor crankset, which I previously used on my Canyon Inflite AL in a PressFit BB30 (86 mm) bottom bracket, into a PressFit 30 (68 mm) and completely forgot to buy the necessary spacers. 🤦🏻‍♂️
