Just fondly remembered the episode of Star Trek: Voyager where Species 8472 built a Starfleet headquarters staging ground to prepare for an invasion of the Federation. I’ll have to rewatch it soon. Good TV.
Oh great! One of the email addresses I use for communication with the tax office and other public institutions has landed in a spam list. I wonder which institution caught a trojan.
I really hope the purported separation of iTunes into Music, Podcast, TV, ??? apps is going to coincide with Apple allowing side-loading of media onto iOS devices. I hate having to fire up the Mac to put a .m4b audiobook into the Books app on my iPhone.

Ah, the wonders of push notifications: I just received one telling me I had entered and left a parking garage with my membership card. This card is in my car. Which made me to check where my car is. Turns out, the notification should’ve been sent last Thursday. #keepstillmyheart
I miss 4:3 ratio displays in laptops so much. On any laptop that is primarily used for productivity purposes, it’s much more useful than any 16:10 or 16:9 display, unless you’re working on a 15–17” display.
“Jokes Seth Can’t Tell” is my favourite segment on Late Night with Seth Meyers and last week’s instalment is no exception: youtu.be/o5G6e9dBP… Amber Ruffin and Jenny Hagel are amazing.
Dat face.
I might rant sometimes about how the iPhone doesn’t give me as much creative freedom as my cameras but I love how effortless it makes close-up shots in good lighting conditions. It’s quite easy to get a nice, properly focused shot with a usable depth of field. 📷
